DESCRIPTION: The larvae of the midge Dasineura rosae causes galls on the leaves of various rose (Rosa) species. The leaflet is folded upwards along the main vein, thickened and pod like. This fold contains many orange larvae.
DISTRIBUTION: Occasional. Best from June until October. HABITAT: On the leaves of various Roses.
